You are lucky to have some letters. I have no family letters, but I do have photographs going back to one set of Maternal great-great grandparents and another set of paternal ones, and those I treasure. I also have some of the frustrating unlabelled photos inherited from my father's cousin.

I love doing family history. I've got right back to 1600 on some of my lines.
