Picocon
I went to Picocon. It was fun and I'm glad I went. The fish duel was unexpected... Caught up with lots of friends, did silly things to gain points for my team (including making a phylactery), acquired two more books to read, did some reading on the train, listened to two very interesting talks, chatted
orbital_2008 and did more talking to friends.
Would write a fuller report, but I'm trying to be good and give the wrists a rest and hope they'll be good enough for me to go and cut rhododendron tomorrow.

The House competition was basically a long list of things that you scored points if you could find them. Some, were dead easy, like an apple. Some, like Terry Pratchett, were probably impossible.
Some, were seemingly impossible, but achievable with a lot of creatitivity/imagination. (General knowledge didn't hurt either)
Although I realised when I got home that I'd actually unintentionally cheated on another one as I'd confused Shan Yu and Shen Yeng.

I still had enormous fun though. With help from you and others, I managed about 800 points for Serenity and had a ball.
