Sat in the garden today while thinking about things. Gardens are good places. The blackbirds are flying in and out the ivy every couple of minutes bearing worms. The bluetits are doing regular food runs into the wisteria bearing insects and small caterpillars. Neither of them go anywhere near the bird table, which says a lot about what gardens need to supply for baby birds. Hedges, shubs, grassy areas, plants, etc. I am developing a serious hatred of gravel gardens. They are death to wildlife.

(I've plenty of birds on the feeder, but they are different ones, mainly sparrows and pidgeons this week. The blue tits will be there later when the babies are bigger)
