Membership for Constitution available

It looks like Richard won't be coming to Constitution this year. It clashes with a day on Brownsea and he's a lot of work on as well.

It's a gaming/SF/filking convention held in a Cambridge college. It's small, friendly, in on-site student accommodation and the grounds are almost worth the price on their own.  When you want a break, you just go for a walk around the lawns and shrubs.

Would anyone like Richard's membership?  Going for a donation to the Marine Conservation Society - you decide how much to give.

Henry and I will be there.  In addition to the usual programme, there's also a couple of freeform games and a fannish cabaret.

oops, I meant RL identity is Hitch/Richard Wheatley - think the current membership rate is £30 - would that do?

Looks like you got there first. What email address should I pass onto the convention? I'll ask them to transfer the membership and confirm to you - then you can book a room at the university.

Enjoy! I've been there several times and always enjoyed it.

£30 is good. I'll trust you to send them the money. They're a favourite of mine ever since I bought a book of the underwater life around Britain. Some of the corals are stunningly beautiful.

Quite impressed by the website - they have an easy to find and well-set out bit for donations.

I was thinking of coming along because it's in my part of the world, but I'm not a gamer. Do you think it's worth my while?

[identity profile] ceb.livejournal.com 2009-07-08 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, do! There'll be a complete stream of SF and fantasy stuff, no need to go near the gaming if you're not interested in that. Draft programme's here: http://www.constitution-con.org.uk/programme.html (that's not complete, there's extra filk and some more gaming stuff to add to it yet).

(hello, I'm the chair :-)

Hello, chair! Well, the draft programme looks interesting, I might come over on the Saturday and get a day membership. In my diary!

I'd love to come, but, alas, I'm working in London on the Sunday and it just wouldn't be convenient :-(
