I've used Ravelry mainly for finding patterns. Recently I joined the Knooking forum. I found that very useful! And that prompted me to add pictures of my projects. I haven't wanted to go to the huge effort of recording my stash there, especially since I've already gone to the huge effort of recording it in my own database at home. Don't want to have to do it all again! Mind you, the irony of me using Ravelry as the first place I look for patterns... is that I prefer not to use patterns! But if I'm wanting to do some particular project, I like to find multiple patterns for the whatever-it-is, in order to get ideas about how people go about making whatever-it-is, for reference, even if I'm not going to follow the actual patterns exactly. I tend to download the patterns and save them on my disk for later.
